Laser hair removal cost
Laser hair removal cost questions. I often receive email inquiries from potential clients about laser hair removal treatment and their first and only question is usually “how much does it cost?” The front desk staff get that question as well. It is often the only question asked and often times the only information that a client wants to know to decide where they will do their laser hair removal.
There are things that you can shop for based on price alone, laser hair removal is not one of them. The sorts of things you shop for based on price are “things” such as, grocery store items, a pair of jeans, running shoes. These items you can shop for on price because you can find the exact item in another store and compare the very same thing.
Laser hair removal is not a thing, it is a service
There are so many factors that will influence one service being much better than another. A hairdresser for example is a service that varies greatly from one hairdresser to another. You could have your hair cut with your favorite hairdresser and get the same style done by another hairdresser and your cut will not be the same. It is because of their skill (or lack of skill) their experience, their knowledge of hair. Laser hair removal is a service and not all technicians are equally skilled or qualified.
When I see a client in for a laser hair removal consultation they have come in because they want the hair to be gone. Time and time again I hear from clients that have done 15 laser sessions and they have very little result, they didn’t spend much, but they are no further ahead because they still have hair. I also hear from people who got a really “good deal” but have ended up spending a lot of money because they had to go so many times. Laser hair removal can be expensive, but if laser is how you want to permanently remove your hair it has a price.
If you want an authentic designer hand bag it comes at a cost. If you don’t want to pay what it is worth you can buy a knock off. But the authentic handbag is going to cost the big price tag and you will not be able to bargain on the price with the boutique sales girl. If you cannot afford to have laser hair removal done safely and with great results, then you can pay less and get the cheaper service and sub-standard result.
There are other options for hair removal if the cost is an issue. You can wax, thread or do electrolysis. But if you cannot afford to pay what quality laser hair removal will cost, you are really taking a risk by finding the cheapest price available.
Laser hair removal cost factors
There are several factors that will determine the cost of your laser hair removal. A big factor in the price is the laser machine. A really good, efficient laser is extremely expensive. If you are being treated with an efficient, quality laser that will come at a cost. The qualifications and skill of the technician is also a big factor in the cost. The laser hair removal industry is unregulated so if a laser hair removal clinic has unqualified technicians they will not have to pay them much and your laser hair removal will be less expensive. And conversely, if a laser hair removal clinic has well trained, highly skilled laser technicians you will have to pay for that. The reputation of the laser hair removal clinic will also be a factor in the cost of your laser treatment. If a laser hair removal clinic has a stellar reputation for results and safety, that will be factored into the cost of your laser hair removal.
I always tell clients in a laser hair removal consultation, it is “buyer beware” and to do your homework. I encourage anyone searching for their laser hair removal clinic to go to several clinics. Shop around and get a “feel” for the various laser clinics that are out there. You will see a huge variation in how the clinics operate. Some are massive and impersonal and it is obvious it is quantity over quality. Some are in the basement of a house. And others such as MediSpa Jouvence, are small, private and personalized.
Once you start looking into all the factors that go into the cost of the treatment, you will see laser hair removal cost is of course an issue, but it will not be your deciding factor.
