MediSpa Jouvence Blog
I have been thinking about starting a blog for a long time. The MediSpa industry includes numerous treatments such as skin care, plastic surgery, injections and laser hair removal treatments, to name just a few. Although our industry is experiencing tremendous growth and interest from the general public, it is unfortunate that some people are mislead and confused by the tremendous amount of data and information about our industry’s best practices, which is sometimes unfounded.
I often encounter people who are confused about the benefits of numerous treatments available. Other first time clients are often skeptical because they have either been mislead or ripped off by previous clinics.
After investing significant amounts of money in treatments, some people find themselves worse off compared to how they were before they started treatments at other clinics.
Our industry mixes aestheticians with doctors, aesthetic treatments with advanced paramedical treatments as well as medical/surgical procedures. You can imagine the complexities as well as the amount of knowledge you need to assimilate in order to make the most beneficial choices for your unique situation.
The MediSpa Jouvence Blog will address all of the issues related to this industry mentioned above. Throughout my blog, I will share what I have both learned and personally practiced over the last 14 years.
I want to demystify the numerous intricacies of this industry. In addition, I want to help educate the public about the numerous skin treatments, products, peels, injections as well as share my experience about working with different types of doctors and other practitioners. Sometimes, this blog will also be a source of fun and entertainment.
Quick Fact: Did you know that there is a difference between a COSMETIC surgeon and a PLASTIC surgeon?
In Canada, any doctor with a license to practice medicine can practice ‘cosmetic surgery’. This means a doctor with little or no surgical training can call him/herself a ‘cosmetic surgeon’ and perform invasive procedures, such as liposuction.
I believe that if you are considering plastic surgery, you should know that you are actually consulting a plastic surgeon and not a regular doctor who can practice cosmetic surgery.
This is the type of information that I want to share on the MediSpa Jouvence Blog.
I invite you to contact me at the clinic if you are considering clinical treatments and would like to have a consultation beforehand.
